Happy Veteran's Day!

Thanks to all the vets in our family and in the US!
We were a couple days late, but my Moms and Pops took me to the POW/MIA War Memorial Park by the Narrows Bridge. It is my parent's tradition to get donuts and coffee and visit my Great-Grandma Ethel (Thor) Nelson's plaque on Veteran's Day.
It was a lovely Pacific NW fall day, and I look forward to visiting every year!

Happy Veteran's Day!

My Grandparents Rock!

Wow, I am so blessed to have four awesome Grandparents! And they live so close!

My Grammie and Granddad made sure our Denver trips are smooth and easy! They take care of all the logistics like hooking us up with a sweet suite at Staybridge Suites and making sure we had a four-wheel drive rental car for all our snow driving!

Thank you!

And while we were in the mountain time zone - Wow! Grandpa and Grandma outdid themselves (which is hard to do)! Not only did they take us and pick us up from the airport, but they spent the whole time we were away helping my parents out! Grandpa put a new fuel filter in my Explorer (not an easy task) and unclogged our dishwasher! Grandma cleaned our oven (it's like new!) and took multiple bags of leaves from our little patio! They also made sure we had soap, soup, and milk for when we returned!

Thank you!

And not only all that, but my Grammie and Grandma spend time with me every week that let's my Moms do some tutoring, go to the dentist, make dinners, and do some cleaning!

My Grandparent's Rock!
I Love You!
Thanks for all you do!

The Three Pointers (minus Tamaru, Matthew, Lisa & Sarah) and the Four Pointers (minus Hunter, Taylor, Lucas and his siblings) journeyed to Great-Grandpa's Cabin in Estes Park for our own celebration and Cousin Conference. We enjoyed playing in the snow, walking through town, eating BBQ by Chef Jonathan, playing Nerts, using the pulley to the loft, and spending time together. It was a beautiful, warm day with lots of snow on the ground. We are all looking forward to coming back to enjoy and work on the cabin!

Great-Grandpa's Memorial

From Amazing Grace on bagpipes by Lena Gibbs to Erika Hiromitsu's beautiful piano piece, Great-Grandpa's Memorial Service was a tribute to the Gibbs legacy, and the life of a wonderful family patriarch whose life touched all those around him.

Great-Grandpa John Wesley Gibbs

My Great-Grandpa Gibbs was an avid skier and hiker (with 36 fourteeners under his belt) with a great heart, who left a wonderful legacy that included four children and their spouses, fourteen grandchildren & four spouses, and six great-grandkids (and one more on the way)!

Almost the whole family (we missed the rest of Uncle Wes' family!) gathered in Denver and Estes Park to remember and celebrate my Great-Grandpa on a very snowy day that he would have loved. There were many great stories told, memories re-lived and passed on, snowball fights, laughter, and tears.

I was so lucky to have gotten to visit Great-Grandpa a few weeks ago. He will be missed, but always remembered. His legacy will live on through me and all of our families.
